These changes and the local beauty are sources of inspiration for her paintings, specifically the Lighthouses all around the coast which enchant her.

Mea Duke is a painter, printmaker, and sculptor whose work implicates our political & economic relationships with the global shipping industry and environmental impact of maritime operations. Duke’s practice is grounded in one broad interest: the negotiation and navigation of what the artist calls “unregulated spaces” and the methods and hazards that exist therein.

Arlene McGonagle, Studio #201 – Arlene continues to make a series called “Scripted Baskets” involving writings from inspirational poets to personal meditations. She hand writes on gampi paper and includes it in the design of the baskets. Laura Travis, Studio #219A Laura will host stone carving and weaving demonstrations. Come see demonstrations of fine craft in Studio 217, including Cait Marchetti’s hand-painted enamel jewelry, Hayley Perry’s rug-hooked wool home goods, and Cheryl Perry’s hand-built ceramic vessels.

With her experience and love for product development, Aura has launched “Aura’s Chocolate Bar!”: a place to showcase artisan chocolate, custom chocolate bars, truffles and cake toppers!

“Forever Wild: a Reflection on Landscape and Our Place In It.” Little Outdoor Giants are photo & video duo Dom Casserly and Jarrod McCabe. The New England natives share an enthusiasm for storytelling, image making and adventure, which is reflected in their professional and personal work.Their commercial clients include Miller High Life, Dunkin’ Donuts, Ford and Patagonia. This collection of landscapes is from the duo’s personal life and travels. Musical performance by Mark Cutler from 6:00-8:00 pm.

First reading at 7:30 pm. Every month readers and listeners gather at Fort Foreclosure for a night of poetry, prose, literature, and conversation. The event differs from a traditional slam as there are neither mics nor judgement. Readers are limited to three selections or up to 10 min. A break is taken after all have read and everyone is invited to share one more short piece.

Art work by IMAGO artist Carl Keitner and guest artist Mike Scriven is featured in a group exhibit. Keitner’s work, called “Fading Memories,” combines black-and-white photography portraits created many years ago that he has reprinted on watercolor paper and combined with paint and other mixed media materials on canvas.
