Plumbing the Depths: An Artists Exploration of Historic Tools

Sunday, April 14, 2019 | 2pm – 3pm | Bristol Statehouse | 240 High Street, Bristol, RI 02809

Local Bristol artist, Kendall Reiss will discuss ongoing research pertaining to her most recent project – using a cast-iron plumb bob mold on loan from the Tim Bornstein Collection of Historic Tools to cast a set of bells, which will be permanently installed at Coggeshall Farm in June, 2019. Participants will have the opportunity to handle historic tools from the Bornstein collection and ask questions of the artist about her work and process.

This artist talk and interactive study of historic tools is supported by a grant from the RHODE ISLAND STATE COUNCIL on the ARTS
