The Collaborative is excited to be showcasing “Evolving Canvas,” a collaboration by artists 5 years old and younger that was created over a six week period during ‘Mini Makers’ art classes at Makers RI in Warren. At each class, the artists added new layers to the canvas by using a unique art material and/or tool. Throughout the six weeks, students used chalk, recycled pieces, stamps, rollers, fly swatters wrapped in bubble wrap, feathers, confetti, and sweet little hands to create this beautiful artwork.
The Collaborative also exhibits over a dozen other talented, local artist including Sandy MacDonald, Jayne McQuaid, Joe Lytle, Ariel Bordeaux, Rick Altergott, Kristin Divona, Matt DeLeo, Matt Roza, Faye Silvia, Dina Haskins, Dave Everett, Jule Derosa, Janet Moscarello, and Adam Tracy.

8) Masonic Temple – 39 Baker Street
The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is an integral part of the Warren Waterfront Historical District. Warren’s craftsmen constructed the Federal-style building with oak timbers from ships sunk across Newport Harbor in 1770’s. The fresco murals located on the second-floor were selected from the works of “Book of the Dead” and “Papyrus of Ani”. Max Muller, a member of the Lodge and a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design at that time, was the artist who handpainted the murals in 1915. Guided tour of Lodge and Murals at 5:35 – 8:30.
Join Leigh Medeiros, author of The 1-Minute Writer: 396 Microprompts to Spark Creativity and Recharge Your Writing, for some quick creative writing exercises designed to stimulate your brain and kickstart your creativity.
