Warren
Candis Dixon works in ceramics and a variety of other media.. “The wheel, the press, the garden: cross-pollinating fire, water, earth, paper, ink, paint”. John Boland produces hand crafted utilitarian pottery and one of a kind ceramic art for interiors and garden spaces. Each art object is designed with a special place in mind. He creates his own glazes and finishes his work in a Bailey gas-fired kiln. Live Music: Community String Project

Howard specializes in abstractions and imaginative creations. His subjects include architectural elements, nature, and everyday scenes showing the interplay of forms, colors, and textures. HIs images have been exhibited throughout Rhode Island as an artist member of Imago Foundation and other local arts associations.

Imago features artist member Howard Windham, guest artist John DeMelim & others in “Making Faces”. Windham’s art is purposefully eclectic; merging art, design, and illustration, DeMelim’s work is from a seies of collages on canvas that comine imager reclaimed from previous prints, proof sheets and more, even using form form his welded sculpture. Music: Mary Traynor & Co. Mary Lorraine is a native of Bristol, RI. Her appreciation for music spans many genres though her preference in music performance lies in traditional country and folk styles. She has performed in several bands through the years and has teamed up with many talented musicians in addition to playing violin in the Community String Project.

Meet and chat with R.W. Alley, illustrator of over one hundred children’s books, including the current Paddington Bear books, and his wife Zoë Alley, children’s book author, at Donna Neville’s gallery and frame shop. There will be original illustrations (some for sale) on show and snacks.

The Roger Williams Park Zoo’s local Chapter of the American Assoc. of Zoo Keepers (AAZK) is dedicated to supporting local and global conservation, animal enrichment and professional development. We will be showing ‘One of a Kind’, handmade art to support education, conservation and animal welfare programs. Some items are made by animals and others by people who love them. Don’t miss it!

Featuring represented artists: Sue Prideaux and Rob Rey. Sue Prideaux com- bines more modern and expressionistic forms to create her oil and watercolor paintings. Rob Rey uses strong “bravura” strokes, confidently blending one into another to capture excitement rivalling the ‘real thing’. Charlie Kovach’s exhibit comprises interpretations of multi-cultural artifacts; old and new, abstract at times but also expressing obvious ideas. The work reveals visual and tactile evidence giving value to a modern people. “My hope is these translate into timeless imagery and historic symbols – still valid in their power to communicate.”
