Join us for a small window into the inspired world of Anthony Quinn, actor, author, painter, and sculptor. The Bristol Art Museum in conjunction with the Rogers Free Library presents a peek into the private imaginative and expressive life of this gifted artist. The exhibition will be at the library through the end of October and will include a film series, selections of Quinn’s artwork and memorabilia, and a library talk given by his wife, Katherine. Anthony’s two Academy Awards will be on display as a special presentation for Art Night. The exhibit minus the Academy Awards continues through the end of October. The interaction between plants and their environment is so complex, these relationships have inspired the artists in “Sculpture Embraces Horticulture.” Witness metal and bamboo art activated by the sun and wind, a tide clock fueled by the rise and fall of the ocean, fabric lit by photovoltaic cells, metal warmed by thermal air currents and a wind harp capturing the breeze off of Narragansett Bay. Refreshments in the Rose Garden.
